Slow Food Kitchen
A brand-new, fully recyclable and compostable kitchen to eat-in or takeaway!
WHAT IS ‘SLOW FOOD’?
The slow food movement is a celebration of locally produced food, prepared with love using traditional methods and savoured by guests in relaxed surroundings. This perfectly encapsulates all that we stand for at PKG.
Our fully recyclable and compostable kitchen is a self-service takeaway to be enjoyed in our garden or yours. We bring you fermented sourdough flatbreads straight from the fire, topped with seasonal pickings from the garden and sustainably produced foods from the very best artisanal producers in the Westcountry.

HOW WE SERVE OUR DRINKS
Where possible, we like to serve drinks by the can or compostable cup. Aluminium is infinitely recyclable, whereas glass recycling and transportation is a far less sustainable process.
“OK. But no glass for my wine?”, we hear you say. Being a low-impact takeaway kitchen in a remote part of the garden, we do not currently have a wash-up facility. It’s something we are looking into but, in the meantime, we hope you’ll enjoy the journey with us!

Please use the recycling and composting bins provided!
The recycling bin is for all cans and glass bottles, and the composting bin is for EVERYTHING ELSE - all food waste, wooden cutlery, food containers and cups. Many thanks!
