Would you, or someone you know, like to learn from one of the best? Wildpicker’s courses are designed to teach foraging skills, the law & best practices, and core foraging knowledge in a very practical hands-on way. There is no better way to learn about nature’s bounty than to get out in nature with an experienced forager to learn how to spot the good stuff and how to avoid the deadly stuff.
ITINERARY
Arrive for tea, coffee & pastries in the courtyard
3-hour forage in various locations, picked by Marc for their differing terrains and potential for natural bounty
Return to PKG for a table-top session to reaffirm key identification features, enable side-by-side comparisons and have a chance for more Q&A
Three-course lunch hosted by Marc & Darren, featuring wild foods that guests have collected or observed that day

THE DAY IN DETAIL
Marc & Darren will greet you with coffee & homemade pastries in the courtyard

Head out with Marc to his favourite local spots, learn how to read the terrain and identify the best edible species from a seasoned expert in his field. Time spent with Marc will reveal a sense of kinship with the generations that came before us - when a forager’s knowledge was a matter of life or death. When out in the wild, we hope guests will experience a deeper connection with nature and the tangible ways in which she feeds us.

Return to PKG for a table-top identifying workshop in which you can look in detail at the key identification features of each plant, make side-by-side comparisons and enjoy an expert Q&A session.

Enjoy a cosy 3-course lunch, hosted by Marc & Chef Darren Broom, in which Darren will showcase the different ways your foraged bounty can be used in Sprigs Co’s sustainable form of cookery

After lunch, Darren will bring over your goodie bags filled with delights made with PKG ingredients.
DETAILS & BOOKINGS
Wild Picking with wildpicker and Chef Darren Broom runs on selected days in spring and autumn, which are prime foraging seasons.
The experience costs £100 per person and includes a fantastic 3 course lunch in the restaurant with Sprigster Drinks pairings. There are only 12 tickets available on each day.
